Magdalena Wojtowicz is a sustainability professional with a master’s degree in renewable energy and waste management. In 2024, she became a mentor for the European Zero Waste certification program, aiming to guide businesses towards sustainable practices and elevate environmental education. Her passion lies in fostering a future where sustainability is at the forefront of corporate agendas, contributing to a greener and more sustainable world.

In her private life, Magdalena finds immense joy in extensive bike travels across Europe.

Project experiences

  • As a Research Assistant at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna, she gained valuable experience through involvement in international projects such as "Urban Waste - Urban Strategies for Waste Management in Tourist Cities" and "STREFOWA - Strategies to Reduce Food Waste in Central Europe." Her responsibilities included conducting research and performing life cycle analyses, significantly enhancing her expertise in sustainability practices (2019).
  • Transitioning to her role as Head of Membership Management at Zero Waste Austria in 2022, she has been establishing and nurturing partnerships with diverse companies, NGOs, and organizations across industries. Additionally, she played a pivotal role in supporting strategic initiatives led by senior management and contributed to the creation of a comprehensive Zero Waste Guide featuring 120 actionable waste prevention tips.
  • In 2023, she completed training and became a trainer for Circular Economy College workshops, further cementing her dedication to advancing sustainable practices and environmental education. Her aim is to raise awareness and educate about circular economy principles, fostering a greater understanding and implementation of sustainability in various sectors.
